available and most accurate government and private research at the time of
publication. Nutrient information may not reflect new, recently changed or discontinued
recipes by food manufacturers. Additions, deletions or changes to the
HealthKeeper's nutrient information will be made as each new version or upgrade is
released.
Those individuals with heart and cardiovascular conditions, diabetes,
hypoglycemia, kidney disease, stroke, gout, the very elderly, growing children,
adolescents, pregnant or lactating women or anyone under medical care for any other condition should only get their proper diets, daily caloric intake and
nutrient recommendations directly from or approved by their doctor, dietitian,
nutritionist or other qualified health professional before beginning any diet
program or using the HealthKeeper or the Performance Diet Online program.
Never begin or use any diet program that uses less than a 1,000 calorie a day
intake without a doctor’s approval and supervision. In some individuals, sustained diets below 1,000
calorie a day intake levels have resulted in death or disability.
Because the human body cannot lose more than two pounds of actual body fat per week do not set your program goals above this level. If you try to lose
more than 2 pounds per week, the body's starvation protection mechanism kicks in
and the body more efficiently uses and/or stores the calories eaten.
Additionally any weight lost above this amount will be lost in muscle tissue, organ
tissue and water weight. Losing ANY muscle tissue is completely counter-productive to a successful diet. This is
one of the main reasons for yo-yo diet results (where you gain back more after
your diet than you weighed before your diet.) Losing muscle tissue will also
cause you to eat even less when your diet is over just to maintain whatever you lost.
Before beginning any exercise program or using the HealthKeeper or the
Performance Diet Online program consult an exercise, fitness and/or medical
professional for specific exercise recommendations tailored to your medical situation or
personal circumstances.
While on any diet program or while using the HealthKeeper or the Performance Diet Online
