Instant Tool Tips Help

This instant mini-Help is activated when you leave your cursor over any section of an active screen in the software for more than a few seconds.

What’s This? Help

The “What’s This?” Help is also immediate and it gives you considerably more information than the Tool Tip Help and you do not have to leave the program to get it. Click on the What’s This? Menu item or any button

and then click your mouse over the section of the screen where you have a question. The appropriate help topic will pop up.

Modal Help

Modal Help gets you to the help for just the particular mode you are in. It provides m ore detailed yet focused information.

Monster Help

Monster Help allows you to search the whole help file for anywhere the keywords you select appear as well as all related topics.

To use this Monster Help, go to the Help pull-down and select Contents. In Contents, you will see three tabs, Contents, Index and Find. Click on the Find tab. If this is the first time you’ve clicked on the Find tab, you will see a screen that looks like this:

Otherwise, if you have been here before, your screen will look like this:

If this is your first time in this screen, set your options to “Maximize Search Capabilities” and click Next, then click Finish. If you have been here before and your screen looks like the one directly above, click on the Rebuild button, choose “Maximize Search Capabilities” and click Next, then click Finish.

When it finishes compiling the help in the way you have indicated, you can type in keywords and any related topics will be displayed in the bottom section. Click on the topic that interests you and click Display. This will bring you to the topic you have selected.
